Michelle is also certified in the following Lindamood-Bell Instruction for Reading and Comprehension programs: Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing for Phonemic Awareness, Reading and Spelling (LIPS) Seeing Stars for Phonemic Awareness, Reading and Spelling (SI) Talkies for Oral Language Comprehension and, Visualizing and Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking (VV). in Curriculum and Instruction a Pennsylvania and a California teaching credential in elementary, secondary, and adult education a certificate in Differentiated Curriculum for Gifted and Talented Students from the USC Rossier School of Education and, a California Reading Specialist Certificate from the University of California, Irvine. in Education from Penn State University an M.A. Michelle’s degrees and credentials include: a B.S. She enjoys teaching the bright and curious learners at Pegasus and appreciates the mix of talents that give the school a richness of students. Michelle is an educational therapist whose expertise has enabled her to understand each child's learning difference and to create a plan to help that child reach his or her fullest potential. ![]() As a reading specialist, she works with both small and large groups of students on specific areas that include decoding skills and strengthening fluency and reading comprehension. Michelle has been the reading specialist at Pegasus since 1997 and established the School’s Learning and Support Department. ![]()
